- Open My website → Split tests and click + New split test.
- Which site: pick one, or Both (a test on each). (Only shown if you have more than one.)
- What to test: pick a tile, for example Join button words. Greyed-out tiles are already being tested.
- Group B sees: set the change. The A and B previews show both versions.
- Who and how long:
- Visitors: Everyone, Phones or Computers.
- Split: 50 / 50, or 80 / 20 (safer, but slower).
- Stop when: 95% sure, or after 14, 21, 28 or 42 days.
- Name: something you'll recognise later.
- Click Start and send to the site. Or Save draft to finish later: drafts are on the Drafts tab.
The box under Who and how long estimates how many days it will take at your traffic.
Before you start
- Change one thing per test.
- Don't change that part of the site anywhere else while it runs.
- Give it at least a week.
If it says the test saved as a draft but didn't start, the site couldn't take it. The reason is shown. Check Site connection.
