Connect Dropbox or Google Drive

Where your scene files live, how much space you need, and how to connect or switch clouds.

Vaultmastr never re-hosts your videos. Scene files, thumbnails, trailers, photos and performer documents are saved in your own cloud — Vaultmastr links to them, and they count against your cloud's space.

Connect

  1. Go to Setup → Cloud storage.
  2. Choose Dropbox (recommended) or Google Drive and approve access.
  3. Vaultmastr makes one folder, /VaultMastr, with a folder in it for you. Each scene gets its own folder in there, named by its scene number (e.g. /VaultMastr/Your name/001), with Masters, Trailers, Thumbnails, Photos and Consent inside. If you use brands, each brand gets its own folder beside yours.

You can connect one cloud per account. To switch, connect the other one — the old connection is retired automatically so the two can't clash. Disconnecting never deletes anything from your cloud.

Only the account owner can connect or change cloud storage.

Dropbox or Google Drive?

Dropbox does everything: full scenes and trailers upload straight to it at any size, files you drop into a scene's folders attach themselves, and it makes the public links some sites pull your videos from.

Google Drive takes thumbnails, photos and documents. Full-scene and trailer uploads, the folder browser and auto-attach need Dropbox, and Drive can't make public links for sites.

How much space you'll need

A single full scene can be several gigabytes, so we recommend a paid plan with 2 TB or more. Setup → Cloud storage shows how much space you have left.

  • Dropbox Basic (free): 2 GB — one full scene can fill it. Its share links stop for 24 hours after 20 GB of downloads in a day.
  • Dropbox Plus: 2 TB for one person. Team plans start at 3 TB (Standard) or 15 TB (Advanced), shared by the team. Share links allow 1 TB of downloads a day (4 TB on Advanced and above).
  • Google (free): 15 GB, shared with Gmail and Google Photos.
  • Google One: plans from 100 GB to several TB — pick 2 TB or more. Google Workspace accounts get their space from the Workspace plan.

Plan details change, so check Dropbox's plans and Google One's plans before you buy.
